The other week, a flute arrived and it needed a new headjoint cork. Wow, what a difference it makes in the tone and playability when the cork is not floating around. After the cork was replaced, the flute played easily in the full range of the instrument.

Today, our Woodwind Medic emergency was to replace the cork in an Armstrong flute head joint before the next day’s dress rehearsal.
No problem. In just a little more than an hour, the flutist was on her way driving off to another task.
